Many roles are ideal for parents of existing junior players who are willing to give a little bit of time and show their support.
TEAM MANAGERS
We run three teams in the Junior Basketball England National League and to support the coach and give the best experience to the players and parents to ensure safeguarding , safety and enjoyment and engagement of the team and parents . The Team Manager helps with logistics to ensure everyone is kept updated with information when and where practices and games are and be a liaison between coaches and parents as well as general operations . Many parents stay and observe their sons/daughters practice sessions and travel to home and away games so why not take that little jump and volunteer as a team manager for your child's team.
FUNDRAISERS
If your skills are about organizing events and activities or simply supporting others in their's we are always on the look out for anyone who is willing to give their time to raise funds for the club . SCORERS & TIMEKEEPERS
The club is always on the look out for people/parents who are willing to be table officials and become official timekeepers or scorers for competitive games we compete in . To get qualified and trained , the course is only a 2 hour online module and about 1 hour of self work and if you are willing to stay with the club and be an available table official the club will pay for the course.

You don't have to be an expert or basketball player to be an assistant coach . Basketball England deliver a Level One training curse to train any individual to be able to assist a qualified coach in their delivery of the sessions. To get qualified and trained , the course is about 4 hours of E Learning , 2 hours online in a Virtual Classroom and attending a 4 hour face to face session and if you are willing to stay with the club and be an available assistant coach for a weekly session the club will pay for the course.
