August always sees a small break in some of the club activties but heres an update .

MYM sessions at Halifax Academy on Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm continue throughout the holidays for players in the 11 to 16 year old age bracket and are run by Ben Lee and David Jane.

U12 & U14

Whilst U12 & U14 sessions have taken a break the new season starts again on Thursday 7th September from 6pm to 8pm and looking forward to the return of the exisitng players with any new members welcome to join .

Under 16 sessions continue without a break during summer and continues in the 6pm to 8pm slot. During August the sessions will be led by David Jane with Ben Lee returning to th U16 sessions from 7th September. The U16 sessions which are open to all in the age group the sessions are preparing players who once selected will represnt the Club in the Basketball England U16 Regional Conference which we enter as reigning champions.

Mambas Sessions which are for players who are over 16 and comprises of many players between 16 and 21 resume on Tuesday 15th August at Halifax Academy from 6pm to 8pm . Sessions will be jointly coached by Ibrar Mustafa and David Jane.

The summer break is where we transition age groups where players who no longer qualify for that age group ove to a higher age group ( U12 to U14, U14 to U16s etc ) . If you are an existing player / parent the age group coach should have already been in touch but if any parent is not sure then please contact one of the coaches directly.

We are very delighted to announce that a new coach has joined the fold. Ibrar Mustafa has many years of Basketball Coaching and has coached Basketball at a high level including running of Basketball camps and is returning to coaching after taking a break to raise his family. Whilst juggling family life and coaching then Ibrar will only be able to attend certain sessions but his knowlege and experience brings great value to the sessions he can attend. Ibrar intially will be involved with the Mambas sessions on Tuesday evenings. Ibrar has been warmly welcomed by the rest of the coaching team and keeping our fingers crossed he will manage to stay with us .
