Coaches Ibrar, Ben and David attended a day out at Mixenden Urban Park as part of a community event promoting use of the facilities at the park which include a playground , enclosed football pitch and basketball court . Lots of local children and parents got involved in games of basketball games organised by the coaches . Special mention to U16 player Harlan and Calderdale Hawks player Ben who came along and helped out and did a great job marshalling their teams of excitable youngsters.

It was great to see so many local people joining in with many of the younger children getting their first experience of basketball. Also at the event were the opportunity for the children attending to take part in rugby , skateboarding , football and an Easter trail. The club is always on the lookout for outdoor events and have recently attended events in Hebden Bridge and Pye Nest and we will be attending the Great Get Together at Crow Wood Park for the third year running on the 1st July.
