Explorers entered an Under 18 team into the NBL pyramid for the first time which coach Billy King bringing many of last seasons victorious Under 16 team with him to play alongside existing under 18 players .

The season was very much a developmental one with the majority of the squad being able to return for next season. The season was a tough one competitively against several well established programs with the highlight being a one point clutch win against Manchester Swarm(61-60) at North Halifax Grammar School.

Players who made more than 12 appearances were Taye Beckley, Billy Blakeley , Suraj Dhindsa , Stan Faulks , Ollie Garland, Ashwin Sargunarajan and Issac Sutcliffe who were ably supported by Franz Remoroza and Cameron Domyem who doubled up from the Under 16 NBL Team. Taye Beckley made the most appearances and turned out for the team in 19 of the 20 NBL matches .

Top scorer was the Under 16 Captain , Franz Remoroza , whilst playing in the higher age group with 174 points closely followed by the Under 18 Captain Issac Sutcliffe who scored 172 points for the team . Franz also topped the Points per game averages (PPG) with 13.4 with followed by Sam Bamford with 10.9 and Issac Sutcliffe averaging 10.8 .
