Saturday 31st May 2025 saw the club hold it first official awards ceremony to celebrate what has been a successfull season for the Junior section as well as recognise some of the many outstanding individual performers from the season. The 2024-2025 saw the Under 16 NBL team win the Basketball England Northern Regional title in style League Table Here whilst the Under 14 NBL team achieving the highest league position of any Calderdale Explorers team at that age group League Table Here

The year also saw the continuation of the successful monthly CVL's ( Central Venue Leagues) hosted in Halifax where teams from the Under 16 and Under 14 development squads and also our Under 12's compete against teams from other clubs in a one day round robin format . The events attract other teams from Hatfield Fliers, Burnley Blazers, West Craven Turbines , Rotherham Hawks , Bradford Dragons and Holme Valley.

The presentation saw the victorious Under 16 NBL team offically recieve their winning plaque and Basketball England Winners certificates. The club also celebrated its tenth year anniversary by awarding all players from junior age groups with a commerative medal. Individual awards were awarded to recognise and reward achievements throughout the season. MVP, COACHES PLAYER, DEFENSIVE PLAYER & MOST IMPROVED were decided by the respective coach of the team whilst the TEAM PLAYER was decided by the actual players of the teams themslelves . The event was hosted by Ben Lee and Glenn Hardaker and prizes were present by Billy and Ben to their respective teams.

UNDER 16 NATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE TEAM

MVP - MOST VALUABLE PLAYER Issac Sutcliffe

Issac captained the team, played in all of the matches and topped the team stats in Field Goals (85) , Free Throws (34) , Points Scored (252) and Points per Game (15.8) and scored the crucial last minute free throw which clinched the away game against Hartlepool Huskies ,their closest rival.
